Vet Fund
At the Paragould Animal Welfare Society animals that enter our shelter are sometimes seriously injured or sick. In many cases the vet costs are staggering and the funds are not available to treat them all. In an effort to save more animals PAWS has created a “Vet Fund”. Donations specified for this fund will be used for injury, sickness and heartworm treatment.
Some of our success stories with our new “Vet Fund” are pictured to the right. “Hillary” the Rottie, “Misty” the Husky Mix and “General” the German Shepherd were all heartworm positive and now have a second chance at a permanent loving home. Prior to establishing our fund volunteers have donated to save animals. One such dog was “Jackson” and we would like to give special thanks to PAWS member Susan Boyd for her rescue assistance.
